Game Of Thrones Fans Going Wild Over Kit Harington And Richard Madden Reuniting

Even though reports of Sony Pictures and Disney breaking up have dominated the news cycle for the past few days (and fans are clearly not happy that Spider-Man won't be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe moving forward), there's still been plenty of other MCU info trickling out at a steady pace. While The Mandalorian and Lady and the Tramp each got their own official debut trailer, there hasn’t been that much in the way of proper footage of upcoming MCU films, save for a Phase 4 overview which leaked online yesterday. That being said, there’s been plenty of casting announcements and updates, and one, in particular, has sent Game of Thrones fans into a tizzy.

As we previously reported, Kit Harington (who’s best known for his role as Jon Snow on HBO’s fantasy drama series) will be joining the cast of The Eternals as Dane Whitman, the third Black Knight. This piece of news is noteworthy enough on its own, but when the fanbase realized that he’d be reuniting with actor Richard Madden (who played Robb Stark on Game of Thrones), the reactions started pouring in. You don’t have to look too hard on Twitter to see what we’re talking about, but we went ahead and compiled some of our favorite posts below so you wouldn’t have to.

At this point in time, it’s not entirely clear if Harington will be starring in other movies outside of The Eternals, but considering his popularity, we wouldn’t be surprised if he stuck around for a couple of films. As always, we’ll keep you updated on any other announcements from D23, so stay tuned.
