It’s been a busy, busy week for Marvel fans, and it doesn’t look to be slowing down in the slightest. Not that we’re complaining, mind you.
After finally – finally! – getting the first trailer for Avengers 4 – or as we’re apparently going to start calling it now, Avengers: Endgame – the marketing barrage continues with the very first poster for the sequel. Done in the same style as the one-sheets we saw for its predecessors, it unfortunately doesn’t show us anything from the film itself. Rather, it features that classic ‘A’ that we’ve become so used to as well as teasing the release date, which is April 26th as per the recent update.
You may recall that 2012’s The Avengers went with a silver title for its art, followed by a red logo for Avengers: Age of Ultron, and a gold one for Avengers: Infinity War. This latest design has chosen the color purple for its ‘A,’ making it impossible not to associate the image with a certain Mad Titan.
Speaking of which, the design is looking to be an unfortunate victim of Thanos’ snap, but while half of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes suffered the fate of dissolving into nothing earlier this year, the promotion for the upcoming Infinity War follow-up has finally had some life kicked into it. Though the film’s first trailer has left us with plenty of questions, it’s nice to see that the fans will finally have some solid and official material to base their predictions on, and they’ll have plenty of time to get their theories straight before Avengers: Endgame arrives this April.
In the meantime, this week isn’t over yet, with the first teaser for Spider-Man: Far From Home expected to drop this Saturday.
