Arriving on the heels of yesterday’s teasing images, Disney and Lucasfilm have debuted a clip showcasing a handful of the deleted scenes that didn’t make the cut for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
From a glowering Kylo Ren pacing the interior of the Millennium Falcon to an extended sequence featuring Maz Kanata’s castle, all of the footage that appears in the teaser above remained on the cutting room floor, but nevertheless it’s an interesting peek at what could have been.
[zerg]Those deleted scenes arrive bearing titles of their own, too, including Finn and the Villager, Jakku Message, X-Wings Prepare for Lightspeed, Kylo Searches The Falcon, Snow Speeder Chase, and Finn Will Be Fine. Aside from that, expect the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Blu-ray release to include an hour-long making-of documentary, shedding light on the creative process that helped bring J.J. Abrams vision to life in the first place.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens makes a beeline for Blu-ray and DVD on April 5, though those who wish to purchase the film digitally will be able to nab J.J. Abrams’ franchise overhaul from April 1. Remaining in Disney’s galaxy far, far away, Gareth Edwards’ Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will act as the next chapter in the rebooted canon when it lands on December 16, 2016.
