Final Trailer For Ender’s Game Is Here

The final trailer has arrived for Ender's Game today, and by the looks of it, the upcoming adaptation of Orson Scott Card's beloved novel just may very well be the sci-fi event of the year. Seriously, this movie looks better and better everytime we get a glimpse of it and with this one last trailer, I'm more excited than ever to check out the film when it releases this Fall.

The final trailer has arrived for Ender’s Game today, and by the looks of it, the upcoming adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s beloved novel just may very well be the sci-fi event of the year. Seriously, this movie looks better and better everytime we get a glimpse of it and with this one last trailer, I’m more excited than ever to check out the film when it releases this Fall.

Of course, adaptations of beloved novels are always a tricky undertaking, as it’s tough to please both the already existing fans of the source material as well as newcomers. If Lionsgate succeeds though in bringing Ender’s Game to the big screen, which I think they will, they’ll be in a pretty good position as there are a number of books in the series that are ripe for adaptation and this could easily turn into a huge franchise for them.

Judging by this final trailer, I’m still remaining optimistic. Though it’s not all new footage, we do get a couple great shots of some epic looking space battles and a whole bunch of very polished and impressive CGI. The sci-fi world that’s been created here really looks quite stunning and I think they’ve brought the setting to life very well.

The trailer also shows Ender acting totally badass. Asa Butterfield has certainly grown up since we last saw him in Hugo and he looks like he’s going to absolutely kill it as the titular hero. There isn’t much plot revealed here but we are reminded, several times, of just how high the stakes are and what rests upon Ender’s young shoulders.

Overall, it’s a completely fitting and very exciting trailer for what looks to be a seriously good flick. I cannot wait to see the full thing.

The Gavin Hood-directed adaptation stars Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld, Abigail Breslin, Viola Davis, Sir Ben Kingsley, and Harrison Ford. Quite the cast, eh? With this much talent involved, I don’t possibly see how things can go wrong. Then again, star-studded films have failed before, so we’ll just have to hope for the best.

Ender’s Game will hit theatres on November 1st, 2013. Check out the final trailer below and let us know if you’re excited for the film in the comments section.

In the near future, a hostile alien race called the Formics have attacked Earth. If not for the legendary heroics of International Fleet Commander Mazer Rackham, all would have been lost. In preparation for the next attack, the highly esteemed Colonel Hyrum Graff and the International Military are training only the best young minds to find the future Mazer. Ender Wiggin, a shy but strategically brilliant boy, is recruited to join the elite. Arriving at Battle School, Ender quickly and easily masters increasingly difficult challenges and simulations, distinguishing himself and winning respect amongst his peers. Ender is soon ordained by Graff as the military’s next great hope, resulting in his promotion to Command School. Once there, he’s trained by Mazer Rackham himself to lead his fellow soldiers into an epic battle that will determine the future of Earth and save the human race.
