Fox is really embracing social media to promote next year’s Deadpool. And why not? The cheeky Merc With A Mouth is the type of skilled hero you’d expect to dole out un-PC quips via Twitter and post inappropriate snaps to his Instagram. For Christmas, the masked chappie is embarking on “Deadpool’s 12 Days of Christmas,” a marketing feat that will conclude on December 25 with a brand new trailer. Think of these little morsels as Xmas teasers.
Empire landed today’s scoop, which consists of two images to promote Deadpool’s upcoming cover on the magazine. Naturally, one features him with a spray can vandalizing the cover, while the other is a handwritten Christmas list scratched out in red crayon. It’s an amusing compilation of random pop. culture items and other tropes specific to his brand (the fourth wall, for example).
