Critics and fans flocked to social media to unpack how Kang has transcended Thanos as the ultimate MCU villain. AtabeyTV tweeted that Majors’ rendition of Kang is above and beyond what they anticipated.

CinemaAlexander experienced a delicious epiphany as they realized that the end of Avengers: Endgame was the beginning of a new dawn with a villain far more dangerous than Thanos. They couldn’t hide their excitement about what lies ahead in Phase 5 of the MCU.

Another user was awestruck by Majors’ acting, which they say will have many audience members applauding the villain.

Majors is a graduate of The David Geffen School of Drama at Yale University, and he carefully researched various aspects of the conqueror psyche to create a believable multiversal supervillain. He told Deadline that his inspiration for Kang came from historical conquerors like Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, and Genghis Khan. He said he focused on creating the antithesis of a superhero by studying how to counteract characters like Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man.

Many fans are already captivated by Kang The Conqueror, even though Ant-Man 3 hasn’t been released yet.

Some have even gone so far as to say that Thanos was the warm-up to Kang’s main event.

Kang The Conqueror has ushered in a new era in the MCU. It’s going to be interesting to see how he’s managed to make the big bad his own.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania premieres on Feb. 17, 2023.
