It: Chapter Two Footage Shown At SDCC, Said To Be More Intense And Scarier

Should you find yourself wondering this fine morning if IT: Chapter Two is going to be scarier than its predecessor, just ask those who were in attendance at the film’s San Diego Comic-Con presentation. First and foremost to answer your question, no, the excerpt has not made it online, nor shall it (probably). That said, we do have a recap of what was shown, and although the clip doesn’t come off as terrifying, according to those fortunate enough to be in attendance, it (no pun intended) still did the job.

From what we gather, attendees got their first look, albeit briefly, at Bill Hader and James Ransone – who portray adult Richie and Eddie, respectively – as the Losers “reunite at the Chinese restaurant in Derry” right before the titular jester, Pennywise, makes an appearance and the screen cuts to black. Although, I suppose all you really need to know is that according to Paul Shirey, Editor-in-Chief at JoBlo, Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise is once again “creepy as hell.”

Director Andy Muschietti also took the stage and promised a sequel that will “crank up the horror aspects” and be “scarier and more intense,” right before he suggested that everyone “wear adult diapers to the theatre.

Unfortunately, that’s all we have to report at the moment, but should the footage “accidentally” leak online, we’ll be sure to bring it to you as soon as we can. In the meantime, it sounds like you should be marking your calendars for It: Chapter Two, which is currently scheduled for a September 6th, 2019 release and might just end up being the scariest film of the year.
