First Frozen 2 Trailer Said To Be Arriving This Month

The very first trailer for Frozen 2 is said to be on the way and could be here before Christmas, if Collider is to be believed.

Given the cultural phenomenon that Frozen ended up being, it’s certainly a bit odd that the sequel will end up having taken six years to make it to theaters, but any Disney fans who’ve been counting down those days may be happy to hear that the first trailer for Frozen 2 is on the way.

Seeing how the first flick managed to integrate itself into our pop culture landscape at a rate that few, if any, movies have matched this decade, hype and excitement is high for the follow-up. Thankfully, then, we’ll soon get our first look at what’s in store. Or at least, that’s according to Steve Weintraub of Collider.

Taking to Twitter this week, he offered up the following:

To those wondering, December is ALWAYS a huge month for new trailers. If you’re a Disney fan, you can look forward to the first footage from #Frozen2 and @starwars episode 9 this month. Would be shocked if both aren’t revealed by December 25th.

Now, with Frozen 2 under a year away from hitting theaters, an initial teaser trailer dropping this month wouldn’t be terribly surprising. However, there are two things to consider here. For one, Steve’s Tweet sounds more like he’s offering up speculation rather than giving us something based on confirmed intel.

But perhaps more importantly is the fact that Disney was said to be saving the Avengers 4 trailer for last (after The Lion King and Artemis Fowl) so that it wouldn’t overshadow anything else this year. If they were still to release a preview for Frozen 2 and Episode IX, then that would kind of defeat the purpose of holding onto the A4 footage for so long. Then again, you could argue that both the Frozen sequel and the final chapter in the Skywalker saga are big enough films that they simply cannot be overshadowed by anything – even Avengers 4 – but still.

Regardless of when the trailer drops, though, we’ll see how Frozen 2 fares against those lofty expectations when it hits theaters on November 19th, 2019. In the meantime, you can either take it as a source of dread or excitement that “Let It Go” will soon become inescapable again.
