First Look At Katherine Langford’s Avengers: Endgame Character Possibly Revealed

Avengers: Endgame is a movie with an insane amount on its plate, having to juggle the largest superhero cast of any MCU film to date while concluding the multi-movie arcs of various franchise regulars and paving the way for whatever developments Marvel’s Phase 4 has to offer. With so much story and so many actors to fit into one film, it was a little surprising to hear back in October that directors Anthony and Joe Russo were cramming one more famous figure into the action with series newcomer Katherine Langford.

As it stands, we’ve yet to find out who exactly the Love, Simon and 13 Reasons Why star is playing, though the internet has offered plenty of theories, from Scott Lang’s daughter Cassie to Clint Barton’s daughter Lila. Another popular rumor in a similar vein is that the actress is playing the daughter of Tony Stark and Pepper Potts – presumably showing up after the movie’s widely predicted time jump – and with this new selfie posted to Langford’s Instagram, some fans are seeing a potential clue that the hearsay might be right.

To be clear, we don’t even know for sure that Langford has actually shot any Endgame scenes in recent weeks, but seeing how reshoots have definitely been taking place this month, it’s a plausible enough idea. In any case, in response to Langford’s unveiling of her new hair color (to quote the photo’s caption, “She (red)y”), there’s been some speculation that her character is the daughter of natural redhead Pepper Potts, and to this theory’s credit, Gwyneth Paltrow pretty much confirmed in an interview last year that her character will have a child with Tony.

Obviously, the idea is little more than speculation for the time being, but all will be revealed when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th, 2019.
