The recent promo image sees Iron Man stood amongst the original Phase 1 lineup for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in an outfit that’s invited comparisons to the Mark 85 suit from the comics. The red-and-gold design seems to confirm the authenticity of recent leaks, while suggesting that if this is indeed Stark’s final outing in the MCU, at least he’ll be going out in style.

Though we’ve already seen one trailer and one TV spot for the Avengers: Infinity War sequel, the footage has so far managed to steer clear of showing Tony suited up, focusing instead on what look to be the character’s early scenes opposite Nebula when he’s still trying to make it back to Earth. The trailer even left us on a cliffhanger with its scene of Iron Man stuck drifting through space and on the verge of running out of oxygen, spawning a whole load of theories on how the hero might get out of his predicament.

Of course, there was no way that Tony would go the whole movie without putting on at least one more suit, but if there was any lingering doubt that the character would escape his drift through the cosmos, this new image should allay such concerns once and for all. We’ll see if Iron Man can put his latest and possibly final outfit to good use when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th, 2019.
