Tessa Thompson Shares Another New Men In Black International Photo

Though the internet has spent much of these last couple of days getting excited about that other major franchise film that Chris Hemsworth is starring in next year, Men in Black International had a title reveal of its own earlier in the week, and it seems the promotion for this upcoming sci-fi comedy is continuing to pick up steam.

Fist off, an official synopsis for the pic has just been released, and apparently series newcomers Agents H and Agent M – played by Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson, respectively – are searching for an infiltrator in their midst:

The Men in Black have always protected the Earth from the scum of the universe. In this new adventure, they tackle their biggest, most global threat to date: a mole in the Men in Black organization.

That “most global” part wasn’t added for nothing, in that the new heroes will be venturing beyond the usual New York setting and finding some action in whole other time zones, including the regions of London, Morocco, and Italy. As a matter of fact, following on from the first official image shared yesterday, Thompson’s taken to Instagram to share a new photo of H and M in the Sahara. The star’s upload came with the following caption:

“#FBF to me & [Chris Hemsworth] (the ‘Fred’ to my ‘Ginger’) saving the universe, YES, even with sand in our shoes. Also, it was casual Friday for the galaxy defenders— that’s why we lost the jackets— which was handy because it was the Sahara.”

For longtime fans of the series, seeing this new pair in the lead roles might take a little getting used to, but while Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones may not be showing up for this soft reboot, the adventures of Agent J and Agent K are still canon to the series. What’s more, Emma Thompson will be reprising her role as MIB head Agent O from 2012’s Men in Black 3, and will joined by an assortment of familiar figures, including Liam Neeson, Rebecca Ferguson and Kumail Nanjiani.

Not a bad line-up, and we’ll find out which of the team isn’t who they claim to be when Men in Black International hits theaters on June 14th, 2019.
