That certainly didn’t take long. After hearing earlier this morning that the film was heading into production today, the first set photos from Jon Watts’ Spider-Man: Homecoming have now swung online, giving us looks at Tom Holland, Zendaya and Tony Revolori.
As far as we can tell, there’s no shooting going on in these pics, as the cast appear to just be walking around on set, getting ready for their scenes. While that’s certainly a bit underwhelming, with a film as high profile as this one, you can bet that we’ll be getting a lot more in the way of set photos in the weeks to come – and they’ll hopefully show off something more exciting than this batch.
Thanks to Tom Holland’s flawless debut as Spidey in Captain America: Civil War, audiences’ faith in the character seems to be renewed after the somewhat disappointing Andrew Garfield-led outings. Holland really does seem like the best version of the iconic hero yet, and after getting just a small taste of what he can do in the role from his scenes in Civil War, we’re giddy with anticipation to see him leading a solo film for the web-slinger.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is all set to crawl into theatres on July 7th, 2017. Stay tuned for more set photos as production continues, and check out the gallery below to get a look at the first round of pics that have emerged online.
