IFC Films has debuted an official trailer for the upcoming bank heist/comedy, Flypaper. The film is about a bank that is getting robbed by two separate groups with one man caught in middle of it all. To top it off, he is secretly in love with the bank teller and tries to protect her as well as everyone else around him.

The premise sounds pretty wild, something that might just be so odd and wacky that it works. The film was released at Sundance earlier this year and most of the reviews haven’t been all that positive, which is upsetting because this looks very entertaining. I love these types of comedies and I was hoping that Patrick Dempsey would be able to carry the film and do an adequate job. According to Sundance reviews though, this one is a bit of a dud.

Like I said though, I think the trailer looks alright and for me at least, this one could turn into a fun and enjoyable one time watch. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.

Flypaper is directed by Rob Minkoff and it stars Patrick Dempsey, Ashley Judd, Tim Blake Nelson, Mekhi Phifer and Jeffrey Tambor. It will be getting a limited release on July 15th, 2011.
