Fans have gone from pining for something new from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, to bemoaning the recent onslaught of new footage (you just can’t win, can you?) – but even if you’re in the “just want to see the movie now” camp, you might want to check out this non-spoilery extended TV ad that aired tonight to amp up your excitement levels even more.
Quite a lot of the footage is from earlier trailers, but there are some tantalizing new shots here and there. We see Rey, Finn and BB-8 blown through the air after an explosion on Jakku, followed by some foreboding new dialogue from Kylo Ren, who promises to “show them the dark side.” Then it’s on to Han Solo handing Rey a blaster and telling her, “you might need this,” before firing off a few shots of his own in a very cool blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment.
Starring Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o and Max von Sydow, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to be released on December 18th, 2015.
