Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

With the one-two punch of Iron Man and Tropic Thunder, Robert Downey Jr. was the comeback kid of 2008. However, the role that indicated a new shift in his trajectory was as aloof, wisecracking Harry Lockhart in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Shane Black’s acerbically funny L.A. thriller also showed off the comic chops of Val Kilmer, who could use more time in the spotlight. With the film’s profile having grown substantially since its brief time in multiplexes 10 years ago – as well as Downey’s newfound stardom – the time is ripe to catch up with the pulpy misadventures of Harry and Perry.
