True to the form of its predecessor, Matthew Vaughn’s action sequel Kingsman: The Golden Circle has hit the ground running, feverishly snapping up an official release date, concept artwork and even a stylish one-sheet that teases the return of a fallen ally.

Barley 24 hours later and Deadline brings word that Game of Thrones fan-favorite Pedro Pascal – who so brilliantly brought Oberyn Martell (AKA the Red Viper) to life in season 4, before falling at the hulking hand of the Mountain – has come aboard The Golden Circle to play a character known as Jack Daniels.

Beyond that, there’s nary a mention of whether Pascal will fall in line with Taron Egerton and Mark Strong’s returning Kingsmen, or if the newcomer is a member of Statesman HQ. Whatever the outcome, Kingsman: The Golden Circle will also feature Halle Berry’s Ginger and Julianne Moore’s Poppy, with the latter pegged to terrorize our stylish protagonists as an appropriately over-the-top villain.

Behind the lens, Vaughn returns to write and direct, working closely with Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons who hatched the original Kingsman comic. Buoyed by a stellar run at the box office – to the tune of $415 million worldwide – the jury’s still out on whether The Golden Circle can capture lightning bottle once again, though the early casting additions of Berry, Moore and now Pascal certainly bode well.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle is expected to strut into production at some point later this year ahead of a theatrical release on June 16, 2017. In the meantime, you can pick apart the sequel’s ambiguous new poster, below. Reports of Harry Hart’s death have been greatly exaggerated, it seems.
