The Gang’s All Back In New Zombieland: Double Tap Poster

You could almost call it a miracle that all four members of the original cast – Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin – have decided to come back for Zombieland: Double Tap. Since the first film's release 10 years ago, each of their careers have skyrocketed, both critically and financially. And as the brand new, riot-of-a-trailer made clear, all of them have been nominated for at least one Academy Award (though Stone's the only winner with La La Land).

Usually when a picture can boast that its leading stars have all earned recognition from the Oscars, it’s a drama ensemble piece of some sort. You know, like Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (which Harrelson earned a nomination for). The last thing that comes to people’s minds with that sort of proclamation is a zombie comedy.

Thankfully though, that’s exactly the case here. And after audiences got their first taste of the action and the laughs they’ll be given come October, the film’s official Twitter account provided them with their first look at the brand new poster below.

There they are, in all their apocalyptic glory. Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita, and Little Rock. All aged a little bit, but still seem to be going strong ten years later.

Now, it goes without saying that the four great performers headlining this picture must’ve had a few good reasons to take up arms. Hopefully, a great script’s among them, but the experience of joining forces again after so long was probably another huge plus. In fact, Harrelson’s said as much already. Energetically looking back on his time filming, this is what he had to say:

“What we’ve shot so far, I’m really impressed with. Getting to hang out with these guys — Emma, and Abbie, and Jesse, and Ruben — I feel so lucky, really, really lucky. You know, it’s literally laughing all day long, and that’s your job. Like, my job is, I laugh all day long? It seems unbelievable. So, I feel really lucky right now.”

Zombieland: Double Tap crawls into theaters on October 11th.
