Though Batman vs. Superman has been moved to a May 6th, 2016 release date, buzz surrounding the highly-anticipated film hasn’t died down. One topic that continues to be the center of focus is just how well Ben Affleck will fare in the role of the Dark Knight. Despite the divisive reaction from fans regarding Affleck’s soon-to-be tenure as Batman, one person has definitely kept the faith in regards to this monumental role: his wife, Jennifer Garner.

During a red-carpet interview with Entertainment Tonight at the 2014 Screen Actors’ Guild Awards, Garner had some glowing thoughts regarding her husband’s Batsuit:

“I’ve seen the suit, the suit is unbelievably cool. It’s a total reinvention. It’s great.”

Of course, Garner didn’t offer any further details regarding Affleck’s outfit for Batman vs. Superman, the appearance of which remains a closely guarded secret. That being said, her enthusiasm is somewhat similar to that of Kevin Smith, who said the following not too long ago:

I instantly bear hugged [Snyder]. You have not seen this costume in a movie, on film before. For a comic book fan, it was mind-bending… Because every other movie has done this Matrix-y black armor thing… There wasn’t a single nipple on this f—ing suit man… I think everyone is just gonna be like ‘Holy S—!’ It’s its own thing, man. We haven’t been down this path before.

Whatever the final product may look like in comparison to the iconic Batsuit, Garner’s comments add yet another interesting wrinkle to the production of Batman vs. Superman.

Tell us, do Garner’s comments change your opinions about Affleck donning the cowl and cape whatsoever? Sound off below.

Batman vs. Superman hits theaters on May 6th, 2016.
