Yesterday, Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi shared a video detailing the last day of shooting on the movie, and Chris Hemsworth has now followed that up with a photo offering up our best look yet at the costume which will be worn by the God of Thunder. It’s actually quite a bit different to past iterations, but not drastically so.

For example, Thor’s arms remain exposed, but that was also the case in Avengers: Age of Ultron. He’ll also clearly still have his cape (despite it not being pictured here), but the biggest change seems to be the fact that the armour on his chest no longer has the six buckles which have often been a staple of the Asgardian’s costume both in the comic books and on the big screen.

This won’t be the only costume the hero has in Thor: Ragnarok, as rumour has it that Thor is going to end up in the same gladiatorial arena as The Hulk, and while there, his head will be shaved and he’ll likely be wearing something a little less fancy than his usual Asgardian garb. Hemsworth has also been seen in street clothes on set, so there’s that to look forward to as well.

Thor: Ragnarok is shaping up to be one of the most exciting and unique superhero movies of 2017, and now that production has wrapped, here’s hoping we see something official from the film soon.
