Gorgeous New Black Panther Posters Tease T’Challa’s Upgraded Armor

Although pretty much everybody and their mother is frothing at the mouth waiting to see Avengers: Infinity War – and rightfully so – it’s important we not forget that Marvel Studios have one more stop on the road before arriving at the next big team-up flick. We are, of course, talking about Black Panther.

Although pretty much everybody and their mother is frothing at the mouth waiting to see Avengers: Infinity War – and rightfully so – it’s important we not forget that Marvel Studios have one more stop on the road before arriving at the next big team-up flick. We are, of course, talking about Black Panther.

Admittedly, it’s quite easy to get swept up in the hype surrounding Earth’s Mightiest Heroes’ next grand adventure, but we have good reason to look forward to the King of Wakanda’s solo cinematic debut more than most other Marvel films to be released over the course of the next two years.

Pegged to arrive in February of 2018 – just three short months before the advent of Infinity War – the standalone pic is a truly star-studded affair, and it’ll be anchored by Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa, the man who would be king. Similar to the vibranium that lines Cap’s trusty shield, Boseman’s suit of armor is practically impenetrable, and we fully expect T’Challa to receive an upgrade at some point in Black Panther‘s story, given that he’s been sporting a new suit in a lot of the promotional material we’ve been seeing lately, including the new batch of posters in the gallery below.

Though the focus of this latest collection of art is clearly T’Challa and his sweet threads, we also get a look at Michael B. Jordan’s Killmonger, who’s rocking a snazzy golden suit, as well as Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Okoye (Danai Gurira), two members of the Dora Milaje. None of it is especially revealing, but with the film quickly approaching, it’s nice to get another glimpse at what’s in store.

Besides, Black Panther has had a top-notch promotional campaign so far, and these posters definitely don’t drop the ball. They’re stylish, artfully-done and with their own flavour apart from other MCU movies. Furthermore, they’re yet another promising sign that Ryan Coogler’s upcoming spinoff will end up being a home run for the studio when it claws its way into theaters on February 16th.
