It's everything we could have hoped for.

Within moments of the release of the new trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder, a meme was born from the villainous new terror, Gorr the God Butcher.

Gorr is being brought to life within the Marvel Cinematic Universe by Christian Bale, and it goes without saying that the levels of his evil will be multifaceted and intimidating. He’s also a character that’s just asking to be made the subject of a great meme.

Fans are taking to social media with memes and gifs of Gorr already — some are quite funny, some are ironic, and others really lean into who he’ll be as a character. So whether you think he reminds you of a man who shall not be named or that student sitting at the desk meme, you know the one, we’ve got some treats for you from the social media realm today.

Fans are excited to see his character come to life in Thor: Love and Thunder, but this face is the one they can’t help but turn into something silly.

Big — big energy.

This fan doesn’t exactly see Voldemort, but they acknowledge a couple of other recognizable figures.

This fan says the entire reason Gorr was showcased in the trailer is so we could turn him into a meme.

We have to admit — this one is a little hard to look at; The Nun is just one of those movies that get under your skin.

Fans are also sharing short snippets related to Gorr, and this has to be one of our favorites.

You can see Gorr the God Butcher in the trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder now and in memes on Twitter, but be aware — the power and pain he will bring to our beloved Marvel heroes will be next level.
