Fans thought the recently released “final trailer” for J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens was the last new footage we’d be seeing until the movie opened in December, but since that we’ve had what may as well have been a completely new international teaser, and now there’s this awesome Rey-centric TV ad.

The spot is once again narrated by Lupita Nyong’o’s mysterious alien character, Maz Kananta, and seems to make a few hints as to Rey’s (Daisy Ridley) family ties with that “I’ve seen the same eyes” line, followed by a shot of Harrison Ford’s Han Solo. Deliberate misdirection? Quite possibly – especially taking into account that rumours point to Rey being Luke’s daughter. Of course, we don’t know anything for certain, and most fans will be hoping things stay that way for a few more weeks.

Aside from that there are a few more awesome new action shots featuring the likes of Poe Dameron, Kylo Ren and Rey piloting the Millennium Falcon and just being a badass in general.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens also stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Max Von Sydow. The next adventure in the galaxy far, far away arrives December 18.
