Gwyneth Paltrow May Have Revealed A Big Avengers 4 Spoiler

x

With Infinity War blowing the MCU wide open, we don’t know too much yet about what’ll go down in next year’s Avengers 4However, overwhelming evidence suggests that time travel will be involved. Both in terms of revisiting past movies in the franchise and also jumping ahead to the future. And, thanks to this peculiar slip-up from a cast member, we might now know one thing that’ll happen: Tony Stark and Pepper Potts will have a kid.

RDJ’s beloved hero speculated in Infinity War that Pepper was pregnant – apparently he had had a weird precognitive dream – but this wasn’t confirmed in the film itself. Speaking in a recent interview, though, Gwyneth Paltrow mentioned how far Tony and Pepper have come over the past decade and revealed that the couple have a child.

“Pepper and Tony have had a real long journey together. She obviously starts as his dutiful assistant, and then the relationship evolves, and now this decade later they’re married, and they have a child. Their relationship has evolved in all of the ways that great romances evolve.”

Seeing as Infinity War and Avengers 4 were filmed back to back, it’s likely that Paltrow is getting confused between what happens in which movie, though it’s strange that this revealing detail made it into print. Still, this suggestion that Avengers 4 will jump ahead an indeterminate amount of time supports what we’ve seen in leaked set photos. The most interesting featured a gray-haired Tony Stark and Scott Lang’s Ant-Man sharing a scene with Captain America, back in his brighter costume from The Avengers, during what looks to be the Battle of New York.

The general consensus is, then, that Avengers 4 will open a while after the final moments of Infinity War with the remaining heroes going back in time to stop Thanos. This could be hugely emotional for Tony, too, as it might risk writing his child out of existence.
