Hailee Steinfeld reveals what a multiversal meeting between Kate Bishop and Spider-Gwen might look like

Hailee Steinfeld muses over the similarities between her Marvel characters of Kate Bishop and Spider-Gwen, wondering if they would get on.

Hailee Steinfeld is one of the rare actors that is pulling double duty when it comes to her involvement in Marvel. The actress has appeared as Kate Bishop within the MCU in the Disney Plus series Hawkeye and also as Spider-Gwen in the Sony animation, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Now she wonders what a meeting between the two would look like.

There are a few actors that have pulled off similar feet within Marvel, playing not one but two characters. Thanks to the fact that Marvel Studios is split up a little bit with Disney owning parts and Sony others, and 20th Century Fox owning some before it too was acquired by Disney, it means that there are different “universes” that characters inhabit. This is starting to change a little as Disney and Marvel do their best to bring everyone under one roof.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at CinemaCon, the actress mused over what it would look like if her two Marvel characters would ever meet (anything is possible in the Marvel multiverse after all).

“How do I think they’d get along? I think they have quite a lot of similarities. They are both incredibly witty and badass independent young women who have a very strong point of view and are very good at what they do and can take on just about anything. So I’d say they’d get along very well.”

Though we know we will be hearing her voice in the upcoming Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse film coming out in June, we are not sure when we will ever see Ms. Bishop again. When asked “Do you know when we’ll be seeing Kate Bishop again?” the actress coyly responded, “Maybe.” Of course, Marvel will likely have her under a gag rule, but we all feel it’s about time for the character to make another appearance within the MCU.

You can catch her Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse which will be swinging its way into theatres on June 2.
