Happy Feet Two Trailer

Call me crazy but something about dancing penguins just doesn't appeal to me. I wasn't a huge fan of the original Happy Feet so it's no surprise that the trailer for Happy Feet Two has done little to change my mind. The sequel looks almost identical and doesn't look like it's going to offer anything new. The animations looks fine and the penguins are admittedly cute but still, I can't find the appeal.

Call me crazy but something about dancing penguins just doesn’t appeal to me. I wasn’t a huge fan of the original Happy Feet so it’s no surprise that the trailer for Happy Feet Two has done little to change my mind. The sequel looks almost identical to the first film and it doesn’t look like it’s going to offer anything new. The animations looks fine and the penguins are admittedly cute but still, I can’t find the appeal.

Happy Feet actually did quite well for itself. It grossed nearly $400 million and took home an Oscar. Taking that into account, a sequel was inevitable and on November 17th, Happy Feet Two will slide into theatres, in 3D of course. The cast is pretty solid and there’s no doubt that the kiddies will flock to this one but for me personally, I’ll have no problem skipping it.

Elijah Wood, Robin Williams, Alecia Moore, Elizabeth Daily, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Sofia Vergara, Hugo Weaving, Hank Azaria, Richard Carter and Magda Szubanski star in the film which is directed by George Miller.

In the film, Mumble (voice of Elijah Wood), The Master of Tap, has a problem because his tiny son Erik (Elizabeth Daily) is choreo-phobic. Reluctant to dance, Erik runs away and encounters The Mighty Sven — a penguin who can fly!! Mumble has no hope of competing with this charismatic new role model. But things get worse when the world is shaken by powerful forces. Erik learns of his father’s ‘guts and grit’ as Mumble brings together the penguin nations and all manner of fabulous creatures — from tiny Krill to giant Elephant Seals — to put things right.
