First Look At A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas

An EW scan of a new photo from A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas has made its way online. It's been three years since we last saw Harold Lee and Kumar Patel but they'll be returning this Christmas for their third outing. Kal Penn, John Cho and NPH (Neil Patrick Harris) will be reprising their roles and thus far, news on the film has been quiet.

An EW scan of a new photo from A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas has made its way online. It’s been three years since we last saw Harold Lee and Kumar Patel but they’ll be returning this Christmas for their third outing. Kal Penn, John Cho and NPH (Neil Patrick Harris) will be reprising their roles and thus far, we haven’t heard much on the film.

Although this new photo doesn’t give us much to go on, it serves as a reminder that the two loveable stoners (along with NPH) will be be showing up in cinemas very soon. And they’ll be doing so in wacky costumes.

With a release date of November 4th, director Todd Strauss-Schulson tells us that the film will be a “straight-up Christmas movie,” that features robots, 3D smoke rings, lesbian nuns and a raunchy musical cameo by NPH. He then goes on to say that it will be “epically absurd.”

Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle was a great stoner flick that had a ton of truly funny moments, it also helped relaunch the career of Neil Patrick Harris. The sequel, Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay wasn’t nearly as good and it kind of ruined the series for me. I don’t think I laughed once while watching it and most of the jokes just missed the mark.

That being said, I’m willing to give A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas a chance. I usually don’t enjoy Christmas themed films but this is Harold and Kumar we’re talking about, and NPH! They may have taken a step in the wrong direction with the second film but hopefully things can pick back up for the series with A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas.
