Deadline is reporting that Paranoia, the upcoming film from director Robert Luketic, has found its three leads. Liam Hemsworth, Gary Oldman and Harrison Ford are all in talks to star in the corporate espionage thriller.
Based on Joseph Finder’s novel of the same name, the film will revolve around Hemsworth’s character, “a talented young man who is used by a company CEO to infiltrate a competing telecom company and learn about the secret “Project Aurora.”
From what we know so far, the project sounds like it has potential. Seeing Oldman re-team with Ford again will be nice for those who enjoyed Air Force One and it will also be interesting to see what Hemsworth can do with a legitamate lead role, before he’s thrust into the spotlight for The Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire.
The only worry I have is with Luketic, who has given us some pretty terrible films (Killers, The Ugly Truth). He did give us 21 though which I loved and if the script attracted heavyweights like Oldman and Ford then it must be of some quality, right?
Production on Paranoia will being this summer with a 2013 release date being eyed. We’ll keep you updated on more news as it arises.
