Harrison Ford And Mel Gibson Join The Team In The Expendables 3 Teaser Trailer

After months and months of speculating who was going to included in the final cut of The Expendables 3, we now have the first teaser trailer for the film and it outlines exactly which action stars will be featured in next summer’s hot release.

The teaser certainly fulfills its name as it offers up zero indication of plot. But as we have remarked before, few people go to an Expendables film for intricate plot complications and social commentary. We go to watch the badasses of today and yesterday blow stuff up, and that’s exactly what we’re going to get with The Expendables 3.

The teaser basically runs down the whole cast list, starting with our usual stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li and Dolph Lundgren. Then we have newcomers Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Antonio Banderas and many more. We don’t get to see anyone in action, unfortunately, but we do get to see them standing together in one long line, which looks pretty badass.

Short, sweet and to the point, The Expendables 3 is pretty much an excuse to bring together even more of our favorite action stars for some pithy one-liners and crazy action sequences. Awesome.

The Expendables 3 opens on August 15th, 2014. Check out the trailer, and plot summary below and let us know what you think in the comments section.

In THE EXPENDABLES 3, Barney (Stallone), Christmas (Statham) and the rest of the team comes face-to-face with Conrad Stonebanks (Gibson), who years ago co-founded The Expendables with Barney. Stonebanks subsequently became a ruthless arms trader and someone who Barney was forced to kill… or so he thought. Stonebanks, who eluded death once before, now is making it his mission to end The Expendables — but Barney has other plans. Barney decides that he has to fight old blood with new blood, and brings in a new era of Expendables team members, recruiting individuals who are younger, faster and more tech-savvy. The latest mission becomes a clash of classic old-school style versus high-tech expertise in the Expendables’ most personal battle yet.
