That means that, after a long and flashy marketing campaign, the trailers and thrilling sizzle reels will soon be replaced by reviews and creative think pieces, and Henry Cavill has now weighed in with his own early verdict of Zack Snyder’s titanic showdown.

Catching up with the British actor during Sunday’s Academy Awards ceremony, E! Online quizzed Cavill about the nature of The Last Son of Krypton, and what he brings to Dawn of Justice. “He has all the powers”, the actor reaffirmed. “And Superman can’t help but love everyone and wants to do the right thing [and]…you know you have the right guy advising you.”

In closing, Cavill was then asked to surmise his thoughts on Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice now that a final cut is on the verge of public release. Keeping things short and sweet, the actor claimed Snyder’s superhero flick is “epic, thrilling and visually spectacular.”

Of course, it’s not as though a leading star is about to publicly deride his film three weeks from launch, but even taking that into consideration, Cavill’s verdict has us all the more intrigued to lay eyes on Dawn of Justice in its finished form.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice arrives in theaters on March 25.
