After dropping a new set photo from his highly anticipated sequel to The Devil’s Rejects, 3 From Hell, earlier today, the director continues to make the wait easier on fans by giving them juicy looks at the film. The latest comes in the form of yet another character poster, following on from the one we got of Otis a few weeks back.

Embedded in the gallery down below, this one places the spotlight firmly on Captain Spaulding, who’s certainly seen better days. As we know from prior looks at the threequel, he’s behind bars – along with Otis and Baby – and judging by how he looks here, prison’s not treating him too well.

Of course, the big question that this poster raises is how is Spaulding even still alive given that we saw him presumably die in a bloody police shootout at the end of The Devil’s Rejects? Unfortunately, we don’t know how he survived just yet – ditto for the other two maniacs who make up the titular trio – but we’ll probably get some answers sooner rather than later. Or at least, we sure hope we do.

Until then, fans can rest easy knowing that they’re in for one heck of a good time with 3 From Hell, as star Bill Moseley recently promised us that the pic will blow our minds. Granted, it’s not exactly out of the ordinary for an actor to hype up a project they’re in, but Zombie knows we’ve been waiting a long, long time for this one and we’re quietly confident that the director will be able to deliver the goods come next year.
