Expect To Meet This Green Lantern Corps Member In Justice League

It's no secret that a member of the Green Lantern Corps will be featured in Zack Snyder's Justice League when it rolls into theaters this November. True, Warner Bros. hasn't confirmed it yet, but we don't expect them to, as the cameo will likely take place in a post-credits scene, setting up future DC Extended Universe outings.

It’s no secret that a member of the Green Lantern Corps will be featured in Zack Snyder’s Justice League when it rolls into theaters this November. True, Warner Bros. hasn’t confirmed it yet, but we don’t expect them to, as the cameo will likely take place in a post-credits scene, setting up future DC Extended Universe outings.

Just last week, in fact, more fuel was added to the fire when notorious tipster, El Mayimbe, teased us with the hint that the Green Lantern Corps member set to appear has a name that’s tough to pronounce. If you know your comic books, you’ll know that that doesn’t really narrow things down, which is why we’re happy to report that we finally have an answer as to who will be showing up here. And, oddly enough, his name really isn’t that hard to say.

According to the folks over at Geek Feed, it’s going to be Abin Sur that will be featured in Justice League. Though not confirmed by any official source, it does make sense, as Sur is the one who gives his ring to Hal Jordan. How he’ll factor into Justice League is unknown, but as we said above, it’s likely just a post-credits scene to put things into motion for the Green Lantern Corps film.

And honestly, that’s perfectly fine with us. There’s going to be more than enough happening here and we don’t need yet another new character/plot thread being introduced. After all, Snyder isn’t exactly the strongest storyteller, so it’s best not to stuff too much into the movie itself and instead let him focus on the actual plot, rather than having to worry about planting too many seeds for the future of the DCEU.

Justice League will be with us on November 17th. A new trailer is expected to arrive in April/May, but until then, feel free to speculate down below and let us know how you think Abin Sur may factor into things.
