Kevin Feige is often referred to as the mastermind behind the entire MCU, and hearing his colleagues explain what it’s like to work with the big boss, you can almost begin to believe it.

Even if Marvel Studios fails to rekindle the spark that turned it into such a phenomenon in the first place, the achievement of the MCU is one for the history books. The Infinity Saga, beginning all those years ago with Iron Man, remains the most ambitious overarching narrative in cinema, which means that, were Kevin Feige to retire tomorrow, he’d still retain his place as one of the influential people in the superhero game.

How does he manage to juggle all of these projects at once and not feel overwhelmed, you ask? And how is it that the MCU is so successful, with a steady output that continues to baffle the rest of the industry? Well, according to Marvel Studios exec Christopher Yost, Feige is really good at making people do what he wants.

“He’s really good at getting what he wants,” He said. “But at the same time making everybody feel like they got what they wanted.”

Yost also said that Feige has a reputation for being a walking Marvel encyclopedia, and that he’s always approaching everything with a fanboy’s enthusiasm. “Anytime somebody pitches him something, he imagines himself in a theatre with a tub of popcorn,” Yost adds.

Well, there you have it, folks. This is Feige’s secret superpower. Not only is he a true fan of the comic book world, but he’s also a very resourceful producer who knows how to get people to work together.

Here’s hoping that he can maneuver the MCU out of the mire it has recently found itself in, or else this will be the final chapter to a golden age of superhero cinema.
