Ever since Task Force X stepped onto the streets of Toronto, budding comic book fans and passers-by have taken an interest in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, as evidenced by the staggering stream of media that has surfaced in recent weeks. From behind-the-scenes snaps of strange creatures to The Joker and Harley Quinn’s lovers’ tiff, it’s fair to say that fans have been a little spoilt for choice considering that the DC adaptation is still over a year out.

It’s a trend that looks set to continue unabated, however, as today a slew of high-res screenshots have arrived hot on the heels of yesterday’s images, which captured Batman’s first appearance on the Canadian set. Fast forward a mere twenty-four hours and the latest batch includes a better look at the chase scene, with Ben Affleck’s Caped Crusader locking onto The Joker’s sports car – now referred to as The Jokermobile online – from the roof.

Here’s a brief clip of the action via Instagram:

Short and sweet, don’t be fooled by how tame the footage appears. This is, after all, filmed by a fan and without any special effects or dramatic music. Nevertheless, we have full faith that the final cut will deliver a wholly new and compelling take on the age-old rivalry between The Joker and Bats.

The remainder of the film’s cast is rounded out by Will Smith (Deadshot), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Jai Courtney (Boomerang), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Raymond Olubawale (King Shark) and model-cum-actress Cara Delevingne (The Enchantress).

David Ayer’s Suicide Squad will make its bow in theaters on August 5, 2016 – you know, presuming there is still some footage left to show.
