A Ton Of Awesome Horror Movies Are Leaving Netflix In July

There are a lot of great horror titles leaving Netflix this July, and here's a list that doubles as what's departing and what to binge.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre

You got to take the good with the bad, smile with the sad. That’s the best advice I can give those struggling with Netflix‘s vicious cycle of adding and subtracting titles. Even then, there truly is something horrific about seeing your favorite scary movies leave the streaming service.

This July we’re happy to see additions like Stranger Things, Cloverfield and Scream 3. Not to mention Denzel Washington’s post-apocalyptic thriller The Book of Eli. But even the blind will be missing titles like The Silence of the Lambs and Pan’s Labyrinth. Those are just two of the horror movies departing the site though, and the rest of the list is as follows:

  • The Mummy
  • The Mummy Returns
  • The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
  • The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning
  • Inside the Mind of a Serial Killer

The Matrix

Then we’ve got these other awesome genre films which are also leaving:

  • The Matrix
  • The Matrix Reloaded
  • The Matrix Revolutions
  • The Terminator
  • Gone Baby Gone

As you can see, this is a worse month than usual to be a horror buff. It’s also a bad month to be a Keanu Reeves fan, which I think refers to just about everybody. I mean, why take away the entire Matrix trilogy? Especially with all the good vibes surrounding the actor in the past couple months. The nicest man in Hollywood deserves better, and so do we.

Still, look on the bright side. Now we all have an excuse to go on a horror binge, though if we’re being honest, we’d all planned on doing that anyways, right?

Tell us, are you sad to see any or all of these movies go? Sound off in the usual place with your thoughts.
