Here Are All The Horror Movies Leaving Netflix In February

Next month will see the arrival of a whole load of new additions to Netflix, but as per usual, the platform will also be cutting a fair few entries from its catalogue like so many slasher movie victims, and that includes several horror films that you may want to check out while there’s still time.

Leaving February 1st, for instance, is the 1998 movie Bride of Chucky, which famously saw the introduction of Jennifer Tilly as Tiffany in the surprisingly sustainable Child’s Play franchise. With a reboot for the series scheduled to drop later this year, the timing may be right to give this horror-comedy a (re-)watch, especially if writer Don Mancini can also make good on his plans for a TV show that maintains the original continuity of the franchise.

Also going on February 1st is Shaun of the Dead, which you really should’ve seen already, but assuming you have, another viewing may still be worth it if only to catch the film’s many horror movie references, along with the various other sneaky little Easter eggs that we’ve come to expect from Edgar Wright pics.

After that, February 2nd will see the departure of the 2016 remake of Cabin Fever, which may not be anyone’s idea of essential viewing, but feel free to give it a chance if you’d like to judge for yourself if the flick deserves its 0% score on Rotten Tomatoes. A more favorably received remake, however, was 2010’s Piranha, which will continue to provide gore and guffaws on the platform until it leaves on February 20th.

So, those are the horror movies that Netflix is set to lose in the next month, but with these four departures, you can expect plenty more entries to take their place.
