Hottest MCU take ever suggests Chris Pratt is needed to rescue Paul Rudd’s Marvel reputation

They might both be Parks & Recreation alums who transformed their images, and bodies, to play Marvel superheroes, but Chris Pratt and Paul Rudd have had very different journeys in terms of internet appreciation. It’s no secret that the Star-Lord star has long been one of Twitter’s favorite punching bags while Rudd is periodically praised for his ability to remain frozen in time.

However, thanks to the disappointment of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and the rise of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, it seems the duo have undergone a switch of Freaky Friday proportions. Against all the odds, the fans now appear to think that a team-up with Pratt is what’s needed to restore Rudd’s Marvel reputation following Ant-Man 3‘s failure.

As one upbeat viral tweet from @KeiziTV stated, “Now that Peter Qull is on earth [sic]… give me a large scale heist movie with these two working together.”

As those who’ve seen Guardians 3 know, the legendary Star-Lord has forsaken space to return to his home planet so it is entirely possible that Quill and Scott may become pals and the two former criminals could undertake an epic heist for the greater good.

No one’s disputing that would likely be a brilliant crossover, with Pratt and Rudd no doubt having great comedic chemistry. It’s just ironic that Phase Five has been so topsy-turvy that folks are now clamoring for Pratt to sprinkle some of his box office-breaking magic on previous perfect record-holder Rudd.

If a Star-Lord and Ant-Man in the Heistmania of Madness movie can’t become a real thing, fingers crossed the pair can at least share the screen in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
