Even though Suicide Squad is less than a month away now, we’ve still got no idea who Scott Eastwood and Ike Barinholtz are playing. Sure, there have been plenty of rumors floating around the internet, but we’ve got nothing concrete as of yet.

One popular fan theory has Eastwood as Dick Grayson aka Nightwing, while another one believes he’ll be playing Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke. Barinholtz, meanwhile, has been rumored for the part of Dr. Hugo Strange, though that theory was more or less debunked several months ago.

Warner Bros. still hasn’t let the cat out of the bag on who these two actors will be showing up as, but DCMovies.com believes that they know the answer. And unfortunately, fans are going to be quite disappointed, as neither Eastwood or Barinholtz seem to be portraying anyone significant.

If DC Movies’ intel is to be believed (they got it from a German film site, so who knows how reliable it is), Eastwood is playing Lieutenant “GQ” Edwards and Barinholtz will portray Captain Griggs. Yeah, we know, kind of underwhelming. The former is a character who’s said to be completely new to the movie, while Griggs is a minor DC figure with ties to Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor.

Of course, this could turn out to be yet another rumor, but until we get confirmation one way or another, it’d be best to manage our expectations accordingly, as it doesn’t look like Nightwing or Hugo Strange will be popping up in David Ayer’s upcoming DC Comics adaptation.

Suicide Squad hits theatres on August 5th and stars Margot Robbie, Will Smith, Jared Leto, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman, Ben Affleck, Cara Delevingne and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.
