New Pic Of Hellraiser: Judgment’s Pinhead Rises From The Depths

When any actor has embodied an iconic character for an extended period, it's only understandable that fans sometimes have a difficult time adjusting to their successors. Even in the case of a vastly talented performer like Jackie Earle Haley, there were many who just couldn't accept someone playing Freddy Krueger other than Robert Englund. Likewise, we ask for no tears, please, regarding the third actor to play Pinhead - it's a waste of good suffering.

When any actor has embodied an iconic character for an extended period, it’s only understandable that fans sometimes have a difficult time adjusting to their successors. Even in the case of a vastly talented performer like Jackie Earle Haley, there were many who just couldn’t accept someone playing Freddy Krueger other than Robert Englund. Likewise, we ask for no tears, please, regarding the third actor to play Pinhead – it’s a waste of good suffering.

As you may or may not know, Paul T. Taylor has been hired to play the most recognizable of all Cenobites in the upcoming Hellraiser: Judgment, which happens to be the tenth installment in the franchise that originated in the mind of the one and only Clive Barker. This time, though, it’s a returning Gary J. Tunnicliffe, director of 2011’s Revelations, who’ll be taking us from the pinnacle to the pit.

Now, I know there are those of you who were hoping for Doug Bradley’s return – something we thought was somewhat of a certainty – but, alas, it wasn’t meant to be. So, while you fill the void by again listening to the various Cradle of Filth albums he’s narrated, it’s best we embrace the future with a new image of Taylor in full makeup.

Thanks to the folks at Gore Gab, we have this fresh look (below) at the new Pinhead to help tide us over while we wait for the sequel in which “Detectives Sean and David Carter are on the case to find a gruesome serial killer terrorizing the city. Joining forces with Detective Christine Egerton, they dig deeper into a spiraling maze of horror that may not be of this world. Could the Judgment awaiting the killer’s victims also be waiting for Sean?”

Hellraiser: Judgment currently lacks a release date, but we’ll keep you posted as more develops.
