‘Ironheart’ star continues to vaguely tease a ‘fantastic’ MCU debut

He's doing his best to keep us guessing.

While it’s still a long way off, we can expect a few new faces to join the MCU in the upcoming Ironheart series, including Alden Ehrenreich, who’s teased a little more about his role.

The Cocaine Bear star is already well accustomed to starring in big-budget Disney products, after playing a young Han in Solo: A Star Wars Story. Now, he’s hopping to the next big franchise. In an interview with ET Online, Ehrenreich was asked about his character in the Ironheart show but he remained tight-lipped on the subject.

“It’s so amazing what they built. They built an entire world for people to have fun with and get inside of. I love my character in it — even though I can’t say what that is. But the whole thing, the people I worked with, were fantastic. It was great.”

Although he’s been sure to keep it vague, fans are convinced they’ve already worked out who Ehrenreich will be playing. Hint: he has a connection to Iron Man.

Ironheart will carry on the story of Riri Williams, who was introduced in last year’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. While next to nothing is currently known about the show’s plot, the show is supposedly set to release sometime this fall.

It’s still not a lot to go on, then, but Alden’s excitement over the role is rubbing off on us. If you can’t wait until the latter half of 2023 to see Ehrenreich in a crazy action comedy, then you’re in luck, as Cocaine Bear releases in cinemas today.
