When it comes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, 2008’s The Incredible Hulk is an oft-overlooked entry. But the Edward Norton-starring movie is canon to the franchise, so it’s understandable that Marvel fans may want to give it a rewatch once in a while. But the question remains, is the film about the Gamma-irradiated superhero under the same streaming service umbrella as the other MCU entries, Disney Plus? And if not, where can the movie be streamed?

Where to stream The Incredible Hulk

It turns out, the Louis Leterrier-directed The Incredible Hulk is indeed coming to the House Mouse’s streaming service on June 16, per the official Disney Plus Instagram account. But the question remains, just why wasn’t it already on the streaming service? Basically, Disney shares the rights to The Incredible Hulk with Universal, so that is presumably why the film only occasionally drops underneath Disney Plus’ umbrella.

It can be easy to forget that The Incredible Hulk is indeed part of the MCU continuity, with Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark even showing up for an end-credit scene. Part of the reason people tend to forget the film’s canonicity is that Norton would eventually be re-cast, with Mark Ruffalo playing the role of Bruce Banner for every appearance thereafter. Not only that, but the film came out a mere five years after a different movie, Hulk, starring Eric Bana, hit cinemas. By the way, you can stream that Ang Lee-directed film for free on Tubi or on the paid subscription for Peacock right now, but the 2003 movie is in no way connected to the MCU.
