Though the upcoming reboot hasn’t been greenlit just yet, the official Predator Facebook page has posted a new image of the titular alien hunter, which many believe is the very first teaser pic for director Shane Black’s updated take on the ailing sci-fi action franchise.

The image features your standard garden variety masked Predator and the words “You’ll Never See Him Coming,” along with the caption “Here we go again, bro.” Cryptic for sure, and it may not have anything to do with the new movie, but there aren’t any other Predator-related projects currently in development… that we know about, anyway.

In a recent interview, producer John Davis confirmed that Black is also writing the script with his partner Fred Dekker. We had been led to believe that this would be a sequel or sorts, but Davis also mentions that it’ll “reinvent” the franchise.

They’ve been doing it together and Fred’s great. The two of them together, they’ve been in the business for a long time, but the writing is so fresh, the perspective is so fresh. I’m telling you you’re going to get something you don’t expect and you’re going to say, ‘This is the most entertaining way to reinvent a franchise.’ I mean he’s the guy who wrote Iron Man 3.
