Buckle up folks, for one of the most surprisingly kinky Marvel movies out there.

Venom arrived in theaters back in 2018 to broad skepticism, closely in the wake of the MCU’s official Spider-Man debut. While it certainly failed to live up to Homecoming, Venom arrived as a thoroughly unexpected hit among certain audiences, who were instantly enraptured by the “odd-couple chemistry” between Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock and Tom Hardy’s Venom. Their symbiotic relationship is perfectly delivered, even through a messy plot, and… did we sense some sexual tension there?

There’s just no beating Venom for fans of Tom Hardy, and the addition of a very unexpected sub/dom relationship sealed the deal for most audiences. While the flick sports an abysmal 30% Tomatometer score, audiences are far more approving of the film, earning it an 80% audience score and reviews praising its ability to make an amorphous alien overflowing with teeth and attachment issues… hot? A sentiment far too many viewers seem to agree with, based on the wave of thirsty tweets that followed the film’s premiere.

The film’s been out for nearly five years now, and enjoyed an even more popular sequel (and an eventual threequel), but far too many people have yet to feast their eyes on the glory of Venom. Thankfully, the flick just got much easier to access.

Is Venom on Disney Plus yet?

If you’ve yet to lay witness to the odd, unexpectedly enjoyable mess that is Venom, your time has come. The film officially made its way to Disney Plus in May 2023, where it now resides alongside most of Sony’s try-hard Spidey attempts. Don’t come for me, I love Raimi’s messy, emo Peter, but Morphius is also technically part of the SSU, and that disaster doesn’t belong within a mile of Willem Dafoe’s spectacular Green Goblin.

You can officially enjoy almost the entire library of Spider-Man offerings on Disney Plus, from the animated classics to Raimi’s trilogy, the first Venom film, and the first Amazing Spider-Man. A few favorites are noticeably absent, as is the wild anti-meme that is Morbius. The other SSU flicks are likely to join their brethren on Disney Plus eventually, however, leaving fans with a single, easy location to enjoy all the Spider-Man they can handle.
