Coming to us by way of Bloody Disgusting, the gallery below offers a candid peek behind the curtain, as you’ll see writer-director Andy Muschietti pull the strings – quite literally, as it were, as there’s even a still of Pennywise emerging from a dilapidated fridge – on set.

It’s also a beautiful, if horrifying showcase of Bill Skarsgård’s performance as Stephen King’s ancient demon. Bringing Pennywise to life wasn’t easy, of course, and Skarsgård recently admitted that, four long months after the film’s release, Pennywise continues haunts his dreams from time to time. And with his fuzzy crop of ginger hair and razor-sharp teeth, you can hardly blame him.

Here’s a reminder of those special features, with a Director’s Cut to follow later in the year. Word is it’ll feature several additional scenes of the Losers’ Club, as Derry’s fearless youth band together in the face of unspeakable evil.
