In the weeks leading up to the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens late last year, J.J. Abrams was busy deflecting all kinds of questions regarding Episode VII as he fought to maintain some element of secrecy. On the topic of deleted scenes, the filmmaker did tease that there were around a dozen in total, with many of those cut sequences coming to light earlier this year to coincide with the film’s home video release.

But much to the surprise of no one, Disney and Lucasfilm plan to double dip with The Force Awakens, aligning a 3D Collector’s Edition Blu-ray for release late next month. It’ll come packing additional featurettes, new deleted scenes and perhaps most enticing of all, a commentary from J.J. Abrams himself.

We’ll likely not see those extras until the premium package lands on November 15, but Entertainment Weekly has now unearthed a never-before-seen deleted scene featuring Chewbacca going toe-to-toe with Unkar Plutt, the seedy junkyard dealer played by Simon Pegg.

It takes place deep beneath Maz Kanata’s castle, as Han Solo, Rey and Finn explore the bustling cantina. Furious that the latter two ‘stole’ the Millennium Falcon from the dusty plains of Jakku, here we see Unkar confront Rey threatening revenge. This is but a glimpse of the full scene to be included in next month’s 3D Blu-ray release, as we understand that Chewbacca literally disarms the side villain, tossing his severed limb across the cantina. Did no one heed Han Solo’s warning in A New Hope?

Per EW:

A 3D Collector’s Edition Blu-ray release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, one which contains the full version of this deleted scene and many more, has been pegged for release on November 15.
