After IT grossed over $700 million worldwide – on a production budget of just $35 million, mind you – it was pretty much a foregone conclusion New Line would double down on Pennywise the Dancing Clown (Bill Skarsgård) and sure enough, it wasn’t long before the WB subsidiary announced Chapter Two.

Unfortunately, it’ll still be quite a while before the titular jester is shimmying and shaking again on the big screen, as IT: Chapter Two isn’t scheduled for release until September 6th next year. That said, the cast and crew have done a bang-up job keeping us informed throughout the production process, which is slated to conclude on October 20th.

The latest lifelong Loser to reassure us that IT: Chapter Two will live up to the high bar set by its predecessor is Jack Dylan Grazer, who’ll be reprising his role as Eddie Kaspbrak in the follow-up. During a sit-down with Entertainment Weekly at San Diego Comic-Con last month, Grazer revealed that while he hasn’t “shot anything just yet,” he’d “just went for the table read” and promised us that “it’s a very good script. Very good.”

Based on Stephen King’s 1986 horror novel, Andy Muschietti’s IT: Chapter Two – which will pick up twenty-seven years after Chapter One – will feature Jessica Chastain (Beverly Marsh), James McAvoy (Bill Denbrough), Bill Hader (Richie Tozier), Jay Ryan (Ben Hanscom), Andy Bean (Stanley Uris), James Ransone (Eddie Kaspbrak) and Isaiah Mustafa (Mike Hanlon) as the adult version of the Losers Club, when they’ll come together once more to banish Pennywise for good.
