James Franco never fails to surprise me with the roles he takes on. Every career choice he makes inspires discussion and the man is anything but predictable. Now, we’re hearing from Zap2It that the actor will have a cameo in the upcoming Veronica Mars movie. The film is currently shooting in LA and there will apparently be a number of actors who will be making cameo appearances.
In case you’re unaware, the film will see “Veronica (Kristen Bell) returning to Neptune for her 10-year reunion. While there, she’s tasked with helping Logan (Jason Dohring), whom she hasn’t seen in years, uncover the truth behind his pop-star girlfriend’s mysterious death.”
Franco is set to play “one of several celebrity victims of a scam targeting the rich and famous, in which someone plants hidden cameras in their homes and then tries to sell the recordings.” No word yet on how this will all tie into the plot but stay tuned for further details.
Like I said before, Franco is constantly surprising me with his unpredictable career choices. Though it’s only a cameo, his presence in the film will surely be a plus as no matter where he shows up, he’s always an interesting actor to watch on screen.
