Back in 2007 Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel made a short film titled Jay And Seth Vs. The Apocalypse. Unfortunately the film was never released. Recently, it was announced that the short film would would be turned into a feature film, and that Rogen would co-write and direct with Evan Goldberg.
Now Rogan has revealed that close friends and frequent screen partners, James Franco and Jonah Hill are also going to be part of the project, playing themselves:
It’s all our friends, luckily, and we all play ourselves in the movie. … I literally play Seth Rogen in the movie and Jay Baruchel literally plays himself in the movie and others — Jonah Hill, James Franco — they’re literally playing themselves in the movie.”
Rogan has described the film as:
“a movie about a bunch of friends who are stuck in a house together as the apocalypse happens outside and they kind of barricade themselves in.”
Jay And Seth Vs. The Apocalypse stars Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride and Daniel Radcliffe and is eyeing a February 2012 start with a late 2012 release.
