It has been a few days since Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was released in theaters and as always, fans have some questions. The events of the film have led to some people noticing details that were prominent in other movies, but were noticeably missing in Vol. 3. Fortunately, James Gunn being ever-the-active Twitter user made himself available to answer any queries fans have about his Marvel swansong.

One point of contention was that Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) didn’t have his iconic helmet throughout the events of the film. While it’s not plot-breaking or anything, it is still an important accessory since Peter had to travel through space and could die if he lost his space suit or could no longer obtain any oxygen if he floated into space. Fortunately, Gunn has a simple answer to why Star Lord didn’t have his helmet. He left it back in Knowhere.

This led to even more questions. During the events of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Peter’s helmet was destroyed, which led to Yondu’s sacrifice at the end of the film. But according to Gunn, it was repaired off-camera, hence why it was seen later during the events of Infinity War.

It’s a shame that Star Lord’s iconic helmet didn’t appear one last time during the events of Vol. 3. Perhaps it will return further down the line, considering the post-credits tease. In the meantime, you can watch Peter Quill’s final adventure with the guardians as we know them, with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 now showing in theaters.
