During a recent Q&A via Facebook, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn shared his thoughts on Marvel’s upcoming phase three film, Captain America: Civil War.

Not that anyone has ever doubted what’s looking to be an absolutely epic superhero showdown, but Gunn reaffirmed our thoughts by stating that it’s “incredible, it’s one of the best Marvel movies ever,” before adding that he “can’t believe what a wonderful job the Russo brothers did.”

Furthermore, the director noted that the cast was incredible, telling fans that “they are so good. It’s an amazing film and people are going to be really excited to see it.” There was one particular cast member who drew an especially positive reaction, with Gunn stating that Tom Holland as Spider-Man is “off the charts awesome” and “amazing.”

Of course, it’s not like the director would say anything bad about Civil War, but his enthusiastic praise is certainly encouraging to hear and only has us even more excited for what’s shaping up to be quite the movie event.

The Russo brothers really knocked it out of the park with The Winter Soldier, and seeing as how they’re adapting one of the most beloved Marvel storylines of all-time here, and introducing a ton of new and exciting characters, I really think that they could end up with the best comic book film of the year.

Captain America: Civil War storms into theatres on May 6th, 2016.
