For those of you who don’t know, principal photography on IT: Chapter Two officially got underway in Toronto earlier this year and the cast hasn’t been shy about sharing their on-set experience. James McAvoy is the latest Loser to offer a glimpse into the filming process and as you can see from the image below, it hasn’t been an easy venture.

While taking a breather from battling Pennywise the Dancing Clown (Bill Skarsgård), McAvoy – who’s portraying the adult Bill Denbrough in the film – posted the below snapshot to his official Instagram account along with the caption: Love a Compresse Froide. Pulled my thighs fighting pennywise… #oldman #gonnatakehimdowntoclowntown #itmovie #it2 #pennywise

As the Golden Globe nominee says, he injured himself during a fight sequence with the titular jester and is using “compresse froide” to freeze away the pain. We sincerely wish McAvoy a speedy recovery and hope his injury won’t delay filming too much.

As for IT: Chapter Two, which is scheduled for a September 6th release next year, director Andy Muschietti is supposedly dialing up “the horror aspect,” leading to a much more “scarier and more intense” experience. I don’t know about you, but you can definitely count me in for this one.

Picking-up twenty-seven years after Chapter One, IT: Chapter Two will find the lovable Losers back in Derry, Maine, and once again face to face with Pennywise. Rounding out the cast are Jessica Chastain (Beverly Marsh), Bill Hader (Richie Tozier), Jay Ryan (Ben Hanscom), Andy Bean (Stanley Uris), James Ransone (Eddie Kaspbrak) and Isaiah Mustafa (Mike Hanlon).
